Legend Troy ‘Escalade’ Jackson, Brother of Mark Jackson, Dies in Sleep in Los Angeles

And 1 Mixtape streetball legend and Troy “Escalade” Jackson died in his sleep early on Sunday morning during a visit to Los Angeles to attend the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Jackson, who stood like a giant with a 6-foot-10, 400 pounds, was the younger brother of former NBA star Mark Jackson.

“He traveled the world and touched so many lives,” said Mark Jackson New York Post from his brother. “He will be missed. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. God is always good.”

Climbing attended the University of Louisville after growth in Jamaica, Queens. He joined the tour and 1 Mixtape in 2002 and subsequently for two years with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal expressed his condolences over Twitter:

“My heart is with Mark Jackson and his family, who lost her brother last night, rock climbing,” chirped O’Neal. “We lost a great man’s ascent love U. I’m sorry.”

Rise not only in the streets of Paris, however. Gentle Giant also advocate for the prevention of STDs, having lost another brother to AIDS in 1980.
